PAINTING MY BEDROOM . . .

I started to paint my bedroom before Christmas and I just ran out of time before I finished so I put all the paint supplies in the basement and am finishing it today. By the way, my son is a painter and is coming later to help me, I am NOT GOOD at cutting in. He told me I’m really not that great at painting either, but, how hard could
it be?

I AM A GRAPHIC DESIGNER NOT A PAINTER!! Turns out there’s a WHOLE LOT I dont know about painting, one thing I am sure of, I am not good at it.

Tthere are about 4 different WHITE paints in my basement, not sure which one I started with (my son repainted the kitchen and dining room in early December, WHITE of course).

I tried WHITE #1, put a little paint on the wall and it was definitely less white, I wiped it off and tried WHITE #2 – ULTRA WHITE, looked good, painted for about 45 minutes, stepped away for a minute, got a cup of tea, since the ladder was in the right place, worked on a patch of ceiling that I had 90 percent finished, with paint I MARKED - BEDROOM CEILING, no brainer. NOTE TO SELF: mark the paint with what room you used the paint in. And wear gloves, you are not as neat as you think you are.

Once WHITE #2 started to dry, I could see it was flatter than the rest of the wall. It looked correct when it was wet. UGH.

WHITE #3 looks like a winner, but I am going to give it 30 minutes to dry. NOTE TO SELF: if you patch a hole in the wall, you have to sand it before you paint it.

WHITE #3 was a winner! Bedroom is finished. Now to put everything back . . .
